For the first time in Canada, the HealthGene Molecular Diagnostic and Research Center offers genetic testing for von Willebrand’s disease in Manchester Terriers, the result of which will help you in your breeding program. Direct detection of causative mutation by DNA test is the most specific method of carrier detection.

We would be very happy to establish a long-term relationship with you based on our affordable prices, easy sample collection, accurate and fast DNA testing service. The cost for the testing is $68.00 (Canadian) per sample. For each DNA test, we supply certificate. Genetic test results are usually available in one week. The remaining DNA of dogs that are tested will be added to our DNA Bank at no extra charge.

Please, be informed that HealthGene does not except samples for von Willebrand’s disease testing from US residents.
